Byron grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and after obtaining his B.Sc. and M.Div., he worked as an ambulance dispatcher in Toronto before entering the pastorate in 1996.
Since then, he has served at several churches in Toronto, Eastern Ontario, Ottawa and Cambridge. Byron joined the CBC staff in March 2025.
At Calvary, Byron oversees the areas of discipleship and integration, including LIFE groups, baptism and membership classes, and the welcoming of newcomers.
Byron is married to Lucinda and they have three adult children. In his free time, Byron loves chess and board games, as well as old movies, music, good food, fun and friends.
